Praktijk voor Psychologie is a pleasant and personal psychology practice in Nijmegen. The practice has three locations, making it easily accessible for Lent, Beek, Malden, Mook, Overasselt, Groesbeek and Beuningen, among others.
Only BIG-registered and certified GZ psychologists work at Praktijk voor Psychologie. The psychology practice treats a broad spectrum of complaints. The psychologists also work with various forms of treatment. Psychological care is provided on the basis of the care performance model, whereby the practice focuses on short-term treatment processes. The practice has contracts with a number of health insurers. Treatment is (partly) reimbursed from basic care.
Psychology Practice offers help to adults aged 18 and over with psychological complaints.

I do not focus primarily on the complaint itself, but together with you I investigate the often deeply rooted beliefs and patterns that cause complaints to arise and keep recurring. The emphasis in our conversations is on getting to know yourself better. Stubborn patterns often have to do with our (early) development as a person. These are expressed in current life, as an adult in contact with yourself and with others. I find it a great challenge to arrive at new self-insights together and help clients to break through problematic patterns for them.”

In the treatment I make as much use as possible of proven effective treatment techniques from a cognitive behavioral therapeutic framework, applied to your personal situation. I work in a complaint-oriented way, in which we tackle problematic emotions, thoughts or behaviour. Together we set goals that we will work on. Changing behavior or facing fears can sometimes be difficult, but it is certainly possible!’
