Our Psychologists

Dieuwertje Otten graduated at Radboud University Nijmegen in 2008. After graduation she worked at different settings within the primary (GBGGZ) en secondary (SGGZ) mental health care with adults. She is an EMDR practioner (io) and familiar with cognitive behaviour therapy and MBCT. She has also gained experience with trauma-related complaints, anxiety / mood complaints and in work reintegration and coaching. Also she has experiences with vocational reintegration and coaching. (BIG registration number 69917082325). She is a qualified health care psychologist BIG (BIG registration number 69917082325) and an EMDR therapist.

Dieuwertje is available for consultations at the practice Nijmegen-Oost (Villa Westhof). She works Monday and Tuesday all day on and Wednesday afternoon and evening at location Villa Westhof.

Helene van Verseveld graduated in 2004 at Radboud University Nijmegen. She has several years of experience in mental health care, working with adolescents and adults, including substance abuse and personality disorders, anxiety, depression and ADHD. She is familiar with EMDR, ACT and schema focused therapy. She is a qualified BIG Healthcare Psychologist (BIG registration number 19916823125) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.

Helene is available for consultations on Wednesday at Brakkenstein (Nijmegen) and on Friday at Villa Westhof (Nijmegen-Oost).

Tanja Broekman has a Master degree in clinical psychology from Radboud University Nijmegen. After her graduation in 2005, she has worked as a therapist and health care psychologist in various fields of mental health care. She has much experience providing both primary mental health care (mild problems) and secondary mental health care (complex problems) to adolescents, adults and elderly. She helps clients with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, occupational health problems (e.g., burn-out), substance abuse and process-oriented interventions such as bereavement. She has knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), EMDR and regularly applies techniques from schema-focused therapy (SFT) and mindfulness. She is a qualified BIG Healthcare Psychologist (BIG registration number 39919225525).

Tanja is available for consultations on Mondays and Thursdays at Villa Westhof (Nijmegen-Oost) and on Wednesdays at location Brakkestein (Nijmegen).

Barbara Raaijmakers graduated from Maastricht University in 2005. She now has more than 15 years of treatment experience in both general basic mental health care and specialist mental health care. Complaints she helps clients with are anxiety and mood complaints, trauma complaints and stress and burnout complaints. She is familiar with cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR.

Barbara is a qualified Healthcare Psychologist BIG, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist VGCt® and supervisor VGCt®, Psychologist NIP.

Barbara holds consultation hours on Monday mornings on location in Brakkenstein (Nijmegen). On Monday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon/evening she holds consultation hours at the De Wedren location (Nijmegen-Oost).

After graduating from the Radboud University Nijmegen, Liesje completed the postgraduate programs for Health Psychologist (GZ-Psycholoog) and Psychotherapist at the PPO (University of Groningen).

She has gained experience in treating a wide range of mental health issues while working in various organizations.

As a psychotherapist, Liesje offers specialized GGZ care using a person-centered, schema-therapeutic approach. Together with the client, she explores the underlying, deep roots of mental health problems and helps the client to deal with them. Liesje’s focus is on problems in the areas of anxiety, mood, personality and work related issues (burn-out), moderate addiction and grief. She is specialised in Cluster C Personality disorders.

She is a certified Healthcare Psychologist BIG, Psychotherapist BIG and Senior Schema Therapist.

The procedure:

I have consultation hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in my own
practice at Graafseweg 232 in Nijmegen.

After you have registered via the website and received a referral from your GP, you will have a short telephone screening to see if your request for help matches what I can offer. It may be that your concerns require more intensive treatment than I can offer as an independent psychotherapist. I may recommend that you seek treatment somewhere else.
